Urgent Assistance for Loved One Left Behind

My name is Cindy and my husband, Ron, passed away on 09/27/2024 after 8 years of putting up a good fight against Alzheimer’s disease. I am devastated and trying to grieve him and honor him as he well deserved. His was a fast and brutal descent into nothingness. He lost his ability to remember me, his wife of 43 years, his children, Cassie and Travis, his friends, and family. He did everything to make sure that we were well taken care of and he loved us beyond measure as we did him. He would be horrified to know that his illness and subsequent death has inevitably left me in dire straits. Due to his donation of his body for research, the life insurance policy payout will be delayed due to some state laws and regulations requiring a lot of legal paperwork before issuing a death certificate. I was notified yesterday that the payout delay could be up to three or four months. This leaves me with no conceivable way to pay rent (due today), utilities, etc. I receive a small amount from social security disability, but his social security covered all the major expenses. He would be devastated by all of this. I would be forever grateful for any help if possible. I want you to know that when the time comes, I will do my best to repay your donation back to you. I just can’t bear to lose anything more right now. Losing him is and always will be the greatest loss of my life.
