The Hamada's, a family of 6 are currently living in Gaza. The father, mother, their young daughter and the oldest son got injured during Israel's bombing campaign of Gaza. I personally know the family. The mother reached out to me back in 2019 when the whole family lived in 1 room and when they were finally able to put a down payment on the condo, that they had just bought before the war, was bombed. They lost everything.

They had to flee from shelter to shelter during the intense Israeli assualt. They recently were able to return to their home however it has been damaged from Israeli bombing.

The mother, Rabab, is largely supporting her family alone. She developed a skin disease from the lack of clean water, then got a liver infection. Now their daughter, Revan (in the picture) who is the youngest in the family, has a liver infection. Rabab is also supporting her brother who lost his leg from an Israeli bomb and has limited mobility.

They don’t have clean water for drinking. They have been eating canned food for many months. The cost of food and medicine is extremely expensive. They continue to live without electricity (Israel cut Gaza’s electricity) and are forced to burn plastic and cardboard for fuel to cook dinner.

Even amongst the inhumane circumstances they are forced to live in, Rabab's older son is trying to study nursing so that he can help improve the health of many others in Gaza.
