Urgent Assistance for Blood Diamond Victims

Tax deductible
Hello Change- Makers,

Melqosh Mission International continues with its Life Changing projects for the war amputees, war wounded, war rape victims, war widows and war orphans of Sierra Leone. In this season, we aim to support 1,000 war survivor households with 1,000 bags of rice . Our aim is to also execute a Nationwide Medical Mission for the War Survivors.

We are in a race against time to save the lives of Blood Diamond Victims. They are the endangered human species of the world.

Background
This Nationwide Mission is in Commemoration of the 25th Anniversary of the J6 Massacre in Sierra Leone; January 6, 1999 was the bloodiest day in the history of Sierra Leone's Civil. Life is unimaginably difficult for the war survivors, the victims of Sierra Leone's 11-year Civil War; which resulted in the hacking of limbs and other body parts by war rebels. Most of the Blood Diamond Victims were amputated on J6.

25 years on and it is a miracle that less than 20% of these victims are still alive, living in extreme poverty conditions, they are the underclass of Sierra Leone

Melqosh Mission International and its Honorary Charity Patron Nicole Spencer are raising funds to support war amputees and war wounded with food subvention during this global economic crisis.

Most of them survive by begging on the streets and are the most forgotten and marginalised group in Sierra Leone. Over 80% of the war survivors have passed away due to no free medical subvention as recommended by the Truth and Reconciliation Committee after the Civil War.

By sponsoring them with a bag of rice, you will be saving them from starvation. A high percentage of them have developed stomach ulcers as they can barely afford one meal a day.

Many also suffer from High blood pressure and diabetes, alongside other ailments. There are no limb rehabilitation opportunities for war amputees, absolutely no assistance with medical needs. We have lost many of our beneficiaries this year and the high mortality rates amongst them is increasingly alarming.

Here are 3 Options of how you can partner with us.
You can sponsor one or more blood diamond victims if possible. Our goal is support 1,000 beneficiaries and the mission commences of January 6, 2024.

Option 1- £100/$120 will sponsor 1 War survivor with a 50 kg bag of rice and much needed Medical treatment and medicines.

Option 2- £40/$50 will sponsor a war survivor with a bag of rice and delivery costs.

Option 3- £60/$70 will sponsor a war amputee with Medical consultation, treatment and medicines plus travel to and from the Medical Unit including cooked food and drinks. This also includes payment of Medical personnel.

Help us, help them; whether with a bag of rice or more. Every little helps.

Your giving will be timely and life-saving.

Thanks in advance.

Note: Our fiscal sponsor is 501(c)(3) nonprofit Institute for Education, Research, and Scholarships (IFERS). Every donation is tax deductible.
