Urgent Assistance for Paulette's Funeral Costs

Hi, my name is Carrie, and we are raising money to help with the sudden funeral costs for my mother, Paulette. Our family is devastated by the extremely unexpected loss of her (it feels like the world has collapsed on itself) and were not really prepared for the financial impact it poses.

Mom worked for many years as an LPN and also volunteered with the local community food bank. Many have sent texts asking about how they will know the weather now that she is gone, as she would constantly send mass texts to people when there was bad weather. She cared about others so much. Her loss will be felt by many.

She went into the hospital on Saturday night with chest pain, and after learning she had suffered a heart attack, the doctors were on the path of treatment. However, she coded a second time on Wednesday evening and did not recover. She took care of dad, who's health is poor, so whatever is raised beyond the goal will go towards his ongoing care and financial needs, which her loss has also impacted. It is uncertain if there is spousal support from Social Security still, which was their only income.

There is a tight timeline for the funeral costs (we have to meet with the funeral home on Monday to share what has been raised), so anything you can give and spreading the word is greatly appreciated.
