Emergency appeal - JCI Lebanon
Donation protected
The situation at a glance
Over 200,000 families have been displaced due to the ongoing conflict. Almost 120,000 people have been displaced since Monday alone, in addition to the 111,000 people displaced since October.
Most displaced families seek refuge in overcrowded schools and public buildings, which lack the necessary infrastructure for proper sanitation.
Additionally, most families lost their daily income sources. With no purchasing power, they are unable to afford necessities such as food, baby formula, clean water, and medical care.
Your donations and our actions
With your financial support, we will be able to provide immediate and necessary aid to families in the Beqaa region. As the situation evolves, our use of your donations will too. Past the first urgent aid, we will to provide long-term solutions for those displaced and affected by the attacks.
For complete transparency, a report will be provided to the donors at a later date.
Who we are
As part of JCI Lebanon, we are a team of Lebanese volunteers, who are on the ground and experience the attacks firsthand, and see their impact on the daily. For now, our Local Organizations will act in their regions, as needed: JCI Beqaa will assist the populations in the Beqaa Valley, whereas JCI Beirut and AUB will support the capital.
0% of the donations will be used for employees, expenses, and operations. 100% of the proceeds will be distributed to the families. Marie Khalife, who is hosting this fundraiser, is the JCI Lebanon Secretary General, based in Switzerland. Money will be sent to Lebanon through WhishMoney.
Junior Chamber International (JCI) is an international non-profit organization that aims to develop leaders for a changing world.
