Urgent Care for Brodie's Paralysis

Hello my name is Rebecca Lewis and this is my beautiful 5 year old furbaby Brodie..Last Friday night I went to let him outside to go to the bathroom and he couldn't get up. His right hind leg from the hip down was paralysised..My husband Kent immediately called the vet on call at Meadowood Veterinary Hospital in Lawton Oklahoma..the vet had my husband move his leg and since there was no pain he could wait to be looked at on Saturday because taking him in on Friday evening would have cost an extra $300 and since he was in no pain we waited til Saturday..when we took him to the vet and he did an xray which indicated no reason why he could/should be paralysised..it has been determined that he would need to see a Specialist so he has referred us to Veterinary Specialty Center in Stillwater. Since it's the holidays we will be hearing from them this Thursday January 2nd..they will do a CT on him to find out exactly what is causing the paralysis. I've been told it will be between $2,700 and $3,500 just for the CT alone..if surgery can be done to relieve the paralysis they will do it or if surgery can't be done they would suggest amputation of the hind leg..I can't even begin to image what will happen if we are faced with that decision..I'm setting up this Go Fund Me to ask for help with his medical bills..My husband is retired and I will he 70 this year..I work with special needs students and love what I do.. I had planned to retire in 2026 but depending on the outcome of my precious furbaby I might need to work longer...All I want is for him to chase and catch the squirrel that has been teasing him..If you could find it in your heart to donate to Brodie I would truly be forever greatful...Thank you in advance..will give updates as soon as they are available
