Urgent Care for Heidi: Denise Walker's Beloved Companion

Friends, family, and concerned ones,

If you are reading this, then you may already know Denise Walker's loving pet and family companion of 8 years, Heidi, has been critically injured.

Heidi, who was struck by a moving vehicle, was found and picked up within a mile of Denise's home by CHPD in the midnight hours, and taken to Roseville's Veterinary Specialty Center, where she is currently being treated.

Of the injuries Heidi has sustained and is currently being treated for are the following: a shattered knee cap, severing the connection of ligaments and bone between her femur and fibula of the right leg, rendering that leg unusable, and internal abdominal bleeding as identified within her stomach and coming from a source unknown.

That Heidi survived the impact of a moving vehicle is a miracle, this we know.

We are thankful that Heidi's care and comfort team at Roseville VSC are able to offer some of the best in emergency veterinarian attention within the Sacramento area. However, Heidi's treatment plan and recovery forward is still, as of yet, uncertain. The medical staff on site at VSC have not seen a knee-related injury to the degree that Heidi has suffered, and as such, VSC can give no definite prognosis on the ability of their surgeons to repair and recover the ligaments' connection for there to be future mobility of Heidi's leg.

We are calling on all protection, prayers, and healing promises that we know have safeguarded and kept Heidi alive, and we look for continued miraculous healing of our loved one and family member as we await results from further tests.
