Urgent Care for Orion: Mom's Furry Friend

My name is Paola, and I’m reaching out with an urgent request for help.

One of our cats, Orion, has been hospitalized with a critical condition: severe kidney obstructions in both kidneys, and he will most likely need surgery to survive.

Orion is part of a litter of feral cats that showed up years ago in my mother’s backyard in Chile. Because it was nearly impossible to find homes for them, the whole group stayed. Over time, with my mom’s patience and love, they became affectionate, trusting, and completely part of the family.

Recently, we found out that two of the cats are suffering from kidney disease. But it’s Orion whose condition is the most urgent — he’s already hospitalized and under observation for possible surgery.

Orion and my mom have always shared a very special bond.

He’s her daily companion and a constant source of comfort, especially on difficult days. which make his presence all the more meaningful. His quiet presence has been a light in her life.

Now, he’s the one who needs care.

So far, we’ve spent over $1,100 USD on exams and diagnostic tests. The ongoing treatment is already above $775 USD, and if surgery is confirmed, the costs will rise significantly.
