Help Save Atlas: Urgent Vet Bills
Update on Atlas:
Hello everyone. On October 8, 2024, we learned from the emergency vet that, despite his recent surgery, Atlas still has stones in his bladder that cannot be removed at their facility. They recommended transferring him to a surgical specialist.
Atlas was admitted to the surgical vet that same day. He now requires three surgeries: a cystotomy (to remove the bladder stones), a perineal urethrostomy (to create a new pathway for urination), and castration (necessary for the new urethral opening).
Initially, they estimated a stay of 3-4 days at a cost of approximately $8,539.72. However, on October 9, they informed us that Atlas's bladder is severely damaged due to the stones, requiring more intensive supervision. As a result, they now plan to keep him for a week, bringing the estimated total to about $10,283.02.
Due to the recent developments with Atlas, we need to adjust our GoFundMe goal. The emergency vet, from which Atlas was discharged, charged us a total of $2,796.75 for his stay from October 7, 2024, around 3 PM, to October 8, 2024, in the afternoon.
With the new estimated cost of $10,283.02 for his upcoming surgeries, our revised goal will now be $13,079.77. This is a significant amount, and it’s been an emotional roller coaster for us.
We appreciate all the support we’ve received so far, and we hope everyone can continue to share, donate, and stand by us during this challenging time. Thank you for being there for Atlas and I am incredibly thankful!

Hi, my name is Alice, and I'm reaching out for help with my beloved cat, Atlas. He is currently facing a serious health issue due to a blockage in his urinary tract caused by stones and crystals. This has resulted in him bleeding while trying to urinate, vomiting, and now refusing to eat.
I took Atlas to our regular vet on October 3rd, where he was prescribed medication. Unfortunately, his condition worsened, and he was referred to an emergency clinic for intensive care (10/7/24). Atlas will need to be hospitalized for 3-4 days, receiving constant monitoring and IV fluids. He will also undergo surgery to remove the stones and crystals and will have a catheter placed to aid his recovery.
This is the third time Atlas has struggled with urinary issues, but this is the first instance of him forming stones and refusing food. I’ve attached proof of his itemized bill from the emergency vet, which reflects the ‘high costs’ of his treatment. The cost can also increase if there are any complications.
Atlas is my baby, and I want to do everything I can to help him recover. Any support you can provide—whether through sharing his story or making a donation—would mean the world to us. Thank you so much for your kindness and support. Let’s pray for Atlas’s successful recovery!
