Urgent Care Needed for Sassy's Recovery

Hello everyone,

This is a plea from the bottom of my heart.

Last year, I moved in with my sister's partner's family, a hardworking, loving group doing their best to get by. Their home is filled with pets, but one little cat stood out: a small domestic short-haired kitty with serious sass. She kept to herself and didn’t seem to get along with anyone.

As a lifelong cat enthusiast, I made it my personal mission to win her over with patience, treats, and a lot of love. Slowly but surely, she let me in. And now, Sassy has become my light, my comfort, and my snuggly sidekick. True to her name, she’s got attitude, charm, and a huge heart. My sweet Lil’ Sas.

A few weeks ago, Sassy started showing signs of bloating. While cuddling her, I noticed something heartbreaking—she was leaking pus. After rushing her to the vet and going through several tests and tear-filled appointments, we got devastating news: Sassy had been unknowingly pregnant and suffered a miscarriage. As a result, her uterus filled with pus! A life-threatening condition that requires urgent, ongoing treatment and surgery!

The worst part? Her family couldn’t afford the care she needed. So I stepped in, taking out a loan to get her immediate help because I couldn’t imagine losing her without trying everything.

We’ve already spent what we could on emergency care, but her road to recovery includes:

- Specialized medications and possible surgery

- Frequent vet visits

- Continued monitoring and supportive care
