Urgent Dental Help for Vanessa's Beloved Dog

Hi, I'm Vanessa and I took my puppy (7-year-old Westie mix) to the vet last month and found out he would need extensive dental surgery with many extractions.

He had just had a full cleaning two years ago at the non-profit humane society in my old hometown. However, the vet informed me that switching him to Fresh Pet dog food caused the rapid decline in dental health because, unlike dog kibble, it just stays in pets' teeth. I have since switched him to Purina One kibble only.

I tried to find a non-profit clinic near me or any veterinary school that can help me at a lower cost, but was unable to find anything close to me at all. I do have pet insurance for him, but they do not cover dental cleanings.
