Urgent: Evacuate my family and save their lives

Donation protected
Dear Friends,
This is Arwa, I left Gaza four months ago to do an internship and I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart to share the heartbreaking story of my brother and the dire situation my family faces in Gaza right now. This fundraising effort aims to provide them with the opportunity to escape the horrors they have endured and seek safety.

The Struggle:
Mohammed, a dedicated medical student, has been facing immense challenges amidst the chaos of genocide. With limited access to medical care and the necessary medication, his battle with depression has worsened over the past two months. Facing the perilous reality of being unable to access his medication, Mohammed initially rationed what he had, hoping for resupply within days. However, as more than two months have passed without access to his medication, Mohammed already regressed to a critical point without the essential support he urgently needs. Despite his own struggles, he remains the main pillar of support for his sick mother and two sisters, who lost their beloved father.

Escaping Unpredictable Violence:
Imagine the agony of having your home destroyed repeatedly, forcing your family to flee and leave behind any semblance of safety. Today, Mohammed and his family after several evacuations finds themselves homeless, without even the comfort of a tent. The city they once called home no longer offers any safe haven, with violence lurking at every corner. Their existence is now a constant struggle against the biting cold, starvation, and the ever-present fear of losing their lives.

The Need for Urgent Action:
Mohammed's plight has pushed me to the limits of desperation, and the only solution to save them from this nightmare is to get them out of the city and into the safety of Egypt. However, the cost of evacuation, including travel and documentation expenses, amounts to approximately $10,000 per person, an amount that continues to rise every passing day. The urgency of saving Muhammed, his mother, and two sisters becomes an emotional imperative as their lives depend on the necessity of evacuation.

The Heroism in the Midst of Despair:
Despite his own personal battles, Mohammed has repeatedly displayed unwavering courage and compassion. Incredibly, while studying medicine, he even risked his own life to help rescue two young neighbors who were trapped amidst the bombings. Even before the war, he dedicated himself to volunteering and was a part of the Ehsan team for charity work. Such selflessness is a testament to his character.

A Heartbreaking Loss:
The devastating toll of this genocide weighs heavily on Mohammed's shoulders. He has had to endure the unbearable loss of five cousins, his beloved grandmother, two of his close friends, and professors. Additionally, one of his aunts was gravely injured, further intensifying the pressure on him. Coping with such a wide range of tragedies has tested his resilience to its limits. Amidst this profound human loss, the plight of a street cat with whom Mohammed formed an indescribable bond adds an extra layer of sorrow. This furry companion provided him solace and hope during the darkest days, becoming a source of comfort that was tragically taken away in a merciless bombardment. The emotional impact of such a loss doesn't bear thinking.

Appeal for Your Support:
Now, more than ever, Mohammed and his family needs your help to secure their escape from this ethnic cleansing. By contributing to this fundraising effort, you have the remarkable opportunity to offer them a chance at a better future, away from the destruction and despair that has consumed their lives. Every dollar brings us closer to our goal, and any donation, no matter how small, will make an immeasurable difference.

A call for compassion:
I implore you, from the depths of my soul, to consider finding it in your heart to donate and share this urgent appeal. The safety, well-being, and the very lives of Mohammed's family depend on it. Together, we can be instruments of hope and bring them out of darkness into a life of peace, stability, and the chance to heal their wounds, both physical and emotional. Thank you for your kindness and compassion.
