Urgent Evacuation from Gaza

Donation protected

In the midst of destruction and devastation in Gaza, there are stories of resilience and hope that deserve to be heard. Today, I come to you with a plea for support for my dear cousin and his family, who are facing unimaginable challenges in the wake of bombings and ongoing turmoil.

My cousin was a physiotherapist working in an elderly care center, he dedicated his life to helping others. His patients adored him, often asking about him when he wasn't there. His cheerful demeanor and boundless energy brought comfort and joy to those around him. He poured his heart and soul into his work and family, treating each person in his life with love and care.

But the war in Gaza has robbed him of his sense of humor and vitality. His home city has been reduced to rubble, and the people he cared for have been in danger. My cousin's heart aches for his patients, knowing that many of them are now suffering alone. He feels helpless in the face of such overwhelming destruction and loss.

To make matters worse, his own family is now in risk. His wife is pregnant with their second child, and their two-year-old daughter is struggling to cope with the trauma of the bombings. He fears for their safety every day. As his wife's due date approaches, he is consumed with worry, knowing that she will not have access to the healthcare she desperately needs to safely give birth. The hospitals in Gaza are overwhelmed and most of them are out of service, leaving expectant mothers at risk of complications during labor and delivery. The thought of bringing their precious child into such dire circumstances weighs heavily on their hearts.

But the challenges don't end there. Even after the baby is born, they will struggle to provide for their growing family. With limited access to essential services and food, they worry about their ability to provide their children with the care and support they need to thrive. My cousin dreams of fleeing to a safe place where they can rebuild their lives away from destruction and pain. But he cannot do it alone. He needs our help to secure passage to Egypt then to Canada after they get their visas under the special measures to extended family in Gaza. Your generous donations will give my cousin and his family the chance they need to start anew in a place where they can.

Thank you for your kindness and compassion. With your support, we can help my cousin, his wife, his daughter and their new baby find refuge from the storm and rebuild their lives with strength and resilience.

Thanks,
Ahmed
