Urgent Evacuation of Gaza Families

My mother in-law Hala Zaqqout, asked me to create this GoFundMe to support her cousin and family in escaping the war in Gaza. They have been on the run from the current war torn landscape in Gaza and are now pinned in Rafah without an escape. I would like to share their message with you and I would like to reach out to you for your help in getting them out of Gaza.

"I hope my voice reaches the world and my suffering reaches every person with a conscience and a bit of humanity. I am an orphaned woman, with no male siblings. I am married, 50 years old, and have children and grandchildren. My elderly mother, who is 80 years old and has no one but me after Allah. We narrowly escaped death more than three times, miraculously surviving while our loved ones became martyrs and casualties. Without the care of God, we would have been just numbers like the rest. I appeal to the world to help us escape the fierce war that spares no one, whether young or old, peaceful or resistant. We are innocent people; our dreams shattered since October 7th, wanting our children and grandchildren to live their right of life like the rest of the world, to continue their education, achieve their dreams, and feel the security we've forgotten since the day the war started. The situation is extremely difficult; losing someone dear to your heart and being unable to do anything about it is agonizing. I am a mother, fearful for my family, my departed loved ones, who I have no one else but, and who I cannot bear to lose. I am sick, with high blood pressure, diabetes, and severe back problems, while my husband, an elderly retiree, is ill with heart problems. His only concern is to make his family happy, a family that the war machine destroyed in an instant after a lifetime of hard work. I urge the world to help us leave through the Rafah crossing, which requires an unrealistic coordination costing no less than $7,000 per person, a sum no one can afford. I hope all the free people of the world intervene, hear my pains, and assist me. It's my right to protect my family, and I pray to God to keep them safe from harm, as my heart cannot bear any more loss and pain. I will continue to plead and request until my last breath."

“ ‏أتمنى أن يصل صوتي للعالم وتصل معاناتي لكل إنسان لديه ضمير وبعض من الإنسانية أنا امرأة يتيمة الاب ليس لي من الأخوة الذكور أحد متزوجة عمري 50 عام لي من الأبناء والبنات الأحفاد حوالي 20 شخص تعيش معي أمي الكبيرة الطاعنة بالعمر وتبلغ 80 عام ليس لها بعد الله غيري ،

نجنونا من الموت أكثر من ثلاث مرات وبأعجوبة شديدة تركنا في كل مرة من الأحباب شهداء وأشلاء ولولا عناية الله لكنا أرقام تسجل مثل باقي الأرقام

أناشد كل العالم أن يساعدوننا لأن نخرج من الحرب الشرسة التي لا تفرق بين صغيرة وكبيرة ولا مسالم ومقاوم نحن أناس أبرياء تحطمت أحلامنا من يوم 7 أكتوبر بأن يعيشو أولادي وبناتي حقهم بالحياة مثل باقي العالم بتكملة تعليمهم وتحقيق أحلامهم وأن يشعروا بالأمان الذي نسيناه من يوم الحرب ،

الوضع جداً صعب وصعوبة المشهد رهيب بأن تفقد عزيز على قلبك ولا تستطيع فعل شيء أبداً ،

أنا أم خوفي على عائلتي التي خرجت فيها من الدنيا ولا أملك غيرها لا يفارقني ويزداد كل لحظة

أنا مريضة ضغط وسكر ومعي غضاريف شديدة بالظهر وزوجي رجل كبير متقاعد ومريض قلب كل همه إسعاد أهل بيته الذي دمرته آلة الحرب بلحظة بعد تعب عمره كله وأناشد كل العالم بمساعدة لأن نخرج من معبر رفح الذي يطلب تنسيق خيالي لا يقل عن 7,000 دولار لكل شخص يحمل الهوية ولا يقوى أحد على دفع تلك المبالغ أبدا أرجو أن يتدخل كل أحرار العالم وتصل ألآمي وآهاتي ومساعدتي ،

بحقي أن أحافظ على أسرتي التي أدعو الله لا يرينا فيهم أي مكروه ولا يقوى قلبي على الفقد والوجع سأظل أناشد واطلب أطلب حتى آخر رمق في حياتي”
