Urgent Flood Appeal for Women Up North

Women Up North Housing (WUNH) is urgently seeking your support in the wake of catastrophic flooding on March 1st, 2022.

WUNH is a Lismore-based not-for-profit that provides housing support to women, children and young people experiencing domestic or family violence.

Our buildings at 40 Wyrallah Road (East Lismore) were completely inundated with flood water. We have lost the entire contents of our offices, group room, counselling space and storage sheds. A shipping container has also damaged our group room. We will be unable to resume face-to-face work from these buildings until they are structurally sound and fully refurbished.

For now, our team is providing remote support to many vulnerable and significantly flood-affected women and children.

Your donations will assist WUNH to re-establish our offices and deliver vital flood-relief to families in the Northern Rivers. Support will be tailored to meet individual needs and may include; vouchers, food, personal care items, baby products and emergency accommodation.

WUNH is a grassroots non-government organisation. We have provided support services to Lismore and her surrounds for more than 30 years. While WUNH has lost much in this flood, we remain committed to supporting our community now and into the future.
