Urgent Funding Needed for Afghan Girls' Winter Schooling

In Afghanistan, girls’ education is under constant threat. But despite restrictions, over 700 girls are defying the odds by choosing to continue their education year-round through Razia’s Ray of Hope (RRH). Almost 95% of our K-6 grade students are currently attending an optional winter session of school — a period from January to March when schools in Afghanistan are closed. These girls are proving that education is worth fighting for, and we are here to help them succeed.

By offering an additional winter session, RRH schools are operating year-round, ensuring girls don’t miss a day of learning in the precious K-6th grade window when they are permitted formal education — a critical opportunity for these girls to stay engaged, build critical life skills, and maximize their education.

We urgently need your support to ensure that these girls receive the resources they need to continue their education through the winter:

$35 can sponsor a girl’s education for one month during the winter session
$90 can provide heating for the school for a week
$105 can sponsor a girl’s education for the entire winter session (3 months)
$300 can cover one month of transportation for all girls to and from school
$600 can provide internet access for all students for one month
$1,161 can provide all the necessary supplies for students during the winter session including notebooks, pencils, and paper
