Meet Mela, a sweet and vibrant 4-year-old girl whose laughter once filled the air. Mela lives in Gaza, where she used to attend kindergarten, eagerly learning new things and playing with her friends. She loved drawing colorful pictures, running around with her cousins, and exploring the world around her with the pure joy and curiosity that only a child can possess.

But everything changed in the blink of an eye.

War descended upon her home, and Mela’s world was shattered. Her family’s house, filled with memories and love, was reduced to rubble. They lost everything they owned—their shelter, their belongings, and the sense of safety they once had. Now, Mela and her family live in a tent, struggling to survive each day.

Mela’s innocent eyes, once full of wonder, now reflect fear and uncertainty. She no longer attends kindergarten, as it too has been destroyed. Instead of playing and learning, Mela faces the harsh reality of war—constant fear, lack of food, and no access to clean water. She wakes up in the middle of the night, trembling from the loud noises that shake the ground and the sky above her.

Despite the unimaginable hardships, Mela’s spirit is resilient. Her family dreams of the day when they can rebuild their lives and provide Mela with the childhood she deserves—a safe home, enough food to eat, and the opportunity to go back to school and just be a kid again.

But they cannot do it alone.
