URGENT - Help Azzam evacuate his family from Gaza

Hello Everyone,

My name is Heather Bejar. I am hosting this campaign for my friend, Karim Azzam. Karim, aka “Azzam” is one of the incredible team members of Camps Breakerz. He is an amazing dancer, athlete, teacher, community member and friend. He has given everything to the children of Gaza, and now he is in need of our support with evacuating his family. After months of being trapped in Gaza, Karim was able to successfully evacuate; however, his family is currently stuck in Deir al-Balah. We are raising funds to help evacuate Azzam’s family. Alhamdulillah we had a private donor contact us! Because of this we are able to lower our goal. I am happy to share that Karim will be able to register his entire family for evacuation.

We have withdrawn funds to start the process. The bank, GoFundMe, and money transfers require fees. Because of this we have adjusted the amount to cover all fees. We are thrilled that the entire family will be registered simultaneously. Karim will ensure that they have a home, clothing and all necessities with the funds.

The Azzam’s family is currently living in a structurally compromised home due to an airstrike that leveled a neighbor’s house. The impact was so intense that it severely damaged their home as well. Azzam’s uncle, Abdallatif is currently in need of continued medical support due to an ongoing chronic condition. He is unable to receive adequate care due to his inability to access medical support. Abdallatif has five children that depend on his support, all of which will be evacuating with him: Horia 23, Mohammad 20, Salma 18, Samer 14 and Ali 11 years old. Ali was recently struck with shrapnel while playing when a bomb deployed nearby. He suffered injuries to his arm and hand. Fortunately he is recovering.

Leaving Gaza is an incredibly difficult decision; however, due to the ongoing aggression, food scarcity, inadequate medical care and lack of safe drinking water, this is truly the only viable option to ensure the safety and survival of Azzam's family.

This fundraiser is not affiliated with any organization and relies solely on the generosity of each one of you. Funds raised will be used for exit/evacuation fees. The remaining monies will be used for food, water and shelter post evacuation.
