URGENT! Help Cats & Company Payoff Our Building!

Hi, my name is Bethany Snowden and I'm the founder of Cats & Company - a 501(c)3 located in Chillicothe, Ohio. Over the years I have fostered numerous animals from cats and dogs to farm animals and wildlife, but after moving to Chillicothe in 2010 I quickly realized the area had an overwhelming cat problem with very few resources to help. I have watched the problem continue to get worse as the population has grown out of control and I finally decided it was time to take action - so I started Cats & Company!

My husband and I converted our home to a make-shift shelter and have had more than 300 cats and kittens under our care, which is obviously FAR from ideal!!! So I began creating a business model that could help fund the cat rescue and started looking for a building near historic downtown Chillicothe to accomodate us, and I FOUND ONE! But......this is where WE NEED YOUR HELP!

A very kind private money lender helped us purchase the building and we are working on obtaining grant money to help with the remodel and build out. However, our time is running out to payoff our remaining balance on the building of $80,000!

Our Vision: Our business model includes a coffee and gift shop featuring items from local stores and restaurants, rentable office space and conference room (both cat friendly and fur-free), 2 pet friendly Airbnb rentals featuring art and photography on a consignment basis, and a Cat Grooming Space where you can drop off your spoiled furry friend for a spa day! Throughout the main space, you will be able to lounge with rescue cats and kittens who will all be available for adoption.

Once open, all proceeds will go towards vet care for the rescue cats, low-cost spay/neuter clinics and our area's first official TNR (trap/neuter/return) program, which we have already begun with the help of the City of Chillicothe, the Ross County Humane Society, North Fork Animal Clinic and the Rascal Unit.
