Urgent: Help Eman Tabaza Escape Gaza

Hello compassionate souls,

I am an Australian friend of Eman Tabaza and I urgently appeal to you for help in aiding Eman to escape the dire circumstances in Gaza and seek safety across the Egyptian border.

Eman and I first crossed paths in 2015 while living in the boarding house at Monivae College. Her infectious laughter and spirit left a mark on my heart. Despite the hardships she endured growing up in Gaza and challenges she faced during her time in Australia, Eman's grace and resilience has been unwavering. She cherished the everyday pleasures of teenage life in Australia and holds onto hope for the possibility of returning one day.

Eman's journey has been one of immense strength and transformation. At the age of eight, she embarked on a courageous journey from Gaza to Australia to undergo surgery for a rare and debilitating birth defect. Thanks to the expertise of Prof. Tony Holmes and his team at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, Eman underwent an eight-hour surgery that not only restored her physical appearance but also instilled her with newfound confidence. Years later she returned to Australia for further operations under Prof. Tony Holmes and Prof. Tony Penington, once again allowing Eman a sense of normalcy among her peers.

Since her return to Gaza in 2017 Eman’s resilience has been tested time and time again. Amidst escalating violence and hardship in Gaza, she has lost everything - her family, her home, and her sense of security. Alone and vulnerable, Eman now navigates the landscape of Gaza, struggling to find basic necessities like clean water, food, and shelter during this conflict.

Now more than ever, Eman needs our help. Your contributions to this fundraiser will not only cover the exorbitant fees required for her forced displacement but also provide her with the means to rebuild her life.

Cost breakdown:

1. Rafah Crossing fees: $5,000-$7,000 USD per person. These fees are required by the Egyptian authorities for crossing the Egypt-Gaza border in Rafah.

2. General assistance: Additional funds raised will assist Eman in rebuilding her life after displacement.

3. GoFundMe transaction fees: 2.2% + $0.30 per donation. These fees cover the transaction processing costs on the fundraising platform.

I am maintaining regular contact with Eman whenever she comes into phone reception, ensuring that once the funds are raised, they will be promptly sent to her via secure bank transfer.
