URGENT: Help Evacuate Maram & her Family From Gaza
Donation protected
My name is Rahaf Suleiman and I am hosting this GoFundme for a dear friend of mine, Maram AbuMandeel and her family. All funds will be transferred directly to her to evacuate Gaza to Egypt through the Rafah border.
This is her message:
To whoever is reading this,
I hope you are safe while people in Gaza have been craving safety for the last 140 days.
My name is Maram AbuMandeel. I am a Palestinian woman from Gaza and stuck in Gaza. I’m 25 years old with a bachelor degree in English translation. I am working as a digital marketer and my family consists of 10 people: My mother, my father, 2 older brothers, 1 sister and 3 children: Adam, 4 years old, Sondos, 3 years old, and Mahmoud, 8 years.
Throughout my whole life and since I was eight years old, I have been experiencing wars and witnessing aggressions. While the people of Gaza and Palestine have faced many challenging and fearful days over the years, the current situation marks an unprecedented level of genocide that we never anticipated. This ongoing genocide has been going for almost 140 days now. We are enduring but we are exhausted. By the second, the situation in Gaza becomes more and more perilous.
The bombings are alarmingly close, we are surviving on food that is inedible and water that is unclean. Each day, we’re facing a thousand deaths, and we are living in constant fear and uncertainty. With this all being said, I am launching this campaign to help evacuate my displaced family out of Gaza and I need your help.
I am willing to do anything to protect them from the inevitable dangers of death and displacement that we have been enduring for over four months now.
On February 4th, we miraculously survived amidst intense airstrikes. However, our home was not as fortunate, leaving us homeless and vulnerable to the ongoing violence.
Furthermore, my mother, Itedal , 60 years old, poured out her heart to her brother on the recent call. Her tears spoke of profound exhaustion, mourning the loss of her sister—her lifelong companion—. The heart-wrenching reality is that my mother remained unaware of the loss of her sister for weeks. The news reached her through a phone call from her brother from outside Gaza, and this is how we receive news about the death of our loved ones.
I desperately seek to avoid further losses and the heartbreaking possibility of losing any of my loved ones. Please, help us evacuate Gaza , ensuring the safety of me, my family, and the innocent children.
Exiting through the Rafah land crossing requires substantial costs that range from 6 to 10 thousand dollars per person. The payment is essential to have our names added to the list so that we can cross the border and flee to Egypt. Money needs to be paid in advance. Your donations will help me pay the fees of the permits, and immediate relief and essentials during and after the evacuation.
Regardless of the amount, every contribution holds immense significance for us and is vital in saving our lives. Your support will be eternally appreciated, and my family and I will be forever grateful for your generosity. Please consider spreading my campaign with your family and friends so I reach my target as soon as possible because every second is a risk of losing one of us. TIME IS RUNNING OUT. Therefore, I invite you to continue donating and spreading the word within your networks.
I wish you the peace and safety we've lost amidst this relentless conflict.
Thank you.
