URGENT: Help Evacuate Mariam's Family from Gaza

My name is Sandra, I’m an author and literary agent from the US and I am in direct communication with and am helping 23-year-old Mariam Barakat and her family of 13 in Northern Gaza with this GoFundMe campaign.

The family is planning to evacuate Gaza and is asking for help in collecting the funds to make this possible, and meanwhile for funds to help them survive. Please donate if possible and please do share! Thank you so much!

I am Mariam from Gaza and I'm talking to you wishing for everyone who will read my story to support me and my family evacuating from Gaza to another safe place to start a new good life with no suffering and pain.

We have lost everything in our life. Our education, jobs, our dreams, and our house. All that truly remains now are the good memories of our past.

For eight months, we have been suffering from starvation, disease, and displacement from place to another, lying to ourselves that we will be safe from dying under rubble, but unfortunately no place is safe in Gaza.

One month ago, our house was destroyed and turned into rubble, only our good memories remain now. I lost many of my family members, which has been devastating. We still can't believe we've lost them.

We have been trapped in the north since the beginning of the war with explosions and the cruelty of genocide towards children, women, and old people. Every single thing is destroyed, including hospitals and the UNRWA schools where they have told us it's safe to be sheltered in, but only exploded above the sheltered civilians.

We are still suffering from starvation and children are dying here because there is no food and many diseases that affect us with no medications or treatment available.

If I truly talk about our suffering I will unravel and believe that no one can handle hearing about the life we are facing since too long and keep suffering from.
