Urgent help for Iris in her incredible situation.

The sequence of events that culminate with me, Frank, joining GoFundMe asking for help for my mother, Iris, are not just unusual but also extremely complicated and incredible. As with most stories, there is a short and a long version of it. This is the short one.
My mother is a 74-year-old woman who has spent the last two months at the hospital, first in intensive care and now in palliative care. Although she does not have a definitive diagnosis, the overall hypothesis is that she has Parkinson’s disease, dementia, and psychosis. Yet some doctors speculate she may have Sporadic CJD (a form of prion disease). She cannot walk, can barely feed herself, is bedridden, incontinent, and has constant UTIs and bed sores.
The hospital now is threatening legal action against me, the only family she has left, to discharge her or send her to a homeless shelter.
Now I will tell you the story of why I need your help to take care of her...
