Urgent Help for Krys and Partner's Relocation

Hi, my name is Krys, but you may know me better as my online alias, Krysiilys. My partner and I are currently looking for a last-minute emergency rental home after our current place received substantial damage after Hurricane Beryl. After the tree was removed from the roof, rain got into the attic and proceeded to flood my partner's office (resulting in the loss of electronics), our bathroom, laundry room, and garage. The extent of the damage is still unknown, but it has permeated the walls, floors, and some electrical outlets. As of right now, our landlords do not know if their insurance will cover the damages, or when repairs might even begin. This, in addition to Houston's hot and humid climate, means that mold will spread rapidly.

We are terminating our lease early and looking for another home as soon as possible, but there are a ton of expenses that have accumulated over the last few months in addition to now probably needing movers, paying double rent for a month during the overlap, and another security deposit. Before this happened, we were saving for a generator to power the home and AC when another hurricane strikes, saving for our dog Olive's necessary knee surgery, and saving to eventually move out of state to somewhere safer. All of these things have now been put on hold to make sure we have enough to move out. This, coupled with me missing a week's worth of work due to a power outage and my partner having just gotten off of temporary disability due to 3rd degree burns on his hands, means we are in a very precarious situation.

We do have renters insurance, so any damages to our personal property will most likely be covered.

Any donations received will first go to the move and all fees associated, secondly to a generator, and thirdly to our dog's surgery.
