Urgent Help for Marley Anne's Medical Care

Hi, my name is Sharon and this is my sweet girl, Marley Anne. She is a ten year old Havanese who love treats, going on walks, and curling up on the couch with her sister, Maya. On September 13, Marley Anne was rushed to the emergency hospital after vomiting blood and was diagnosed with immune-mediated thrombocytopenia, where her immune system is attacking her platelets. Because of this, she has developed internal bleeding in her GI tract and needs urgent help. She has gone through several blood transfusions as well as a platelet transfusion. She is also on immunosuppressant medications to help stabilize her platelet count, which is extremely low.

She will need to undergo at least 2 TPE treatments (Therapeutic Plasma Exchange) - a process similar to dialysis that filters her blood and removes antibodies that have been attacking her platelets.

I am raising money to help with her care, as she is facing a long hospital stay. Marley Anne is a fighter (in fact, she's known to get up on her back legs and box) and her family loves her very much.
