Help save the heart of the village – Kimpton Preschool

To anyone who has ever sent their children, grandchildren, or been part of our incredibly special Kimpton Preschool over the years...or anyone that wants to support local community education for toddlers!

WE NEED YOUR HELP URGENTLY PLEASE!

Our brilliant village Preschool has been operating for over 10 years. It is at the heart of our community and offers excellent, affordable childcare for children aged 2-4 yrs.

Sadly, we are currently facing financial crisis and looking at imminent closure if we cannot raise immediate funds…

Reasons? Like many other local early years settings, this academic year has seen its lowest child enrolment figures – mainly due to the low birth rate year across the area and county we have been told, which has directly impacted our usually healthy numbers/intake.

As a result of this, we have taken the bold decision to set up our first ever GO FUND ME page to help raise URGENT funds.

Make or break...

If we cannot raise £20,000 by Friday 20th October 2023

– then it is with a heavy heart, we will have to close our Preschool doors for good.

So, in a final heartfelt plea to the very special people of Kimpton; past and present Preschool families; local groups, organisations and businesses; and even those who have enjoyed seeing little smiling faces at the Preschool gates each morning – we are asking for your help please!

Any donation however big or small would mean the world to us and help ensure this key childcare resource and valued community asset, remains open to help the children and young families of Kimpton, and future generations.

What other urgent action is Preschool taking over the next week?

1. Bring in/securing more child registrations imminently. Every child counts.

2. Longer hours – urgently identifying interest and options

3. Potential shared venue use opportunities

4. Identifying and approaching potential business/group/corporate donors

5. Plus, ongoing fundraising initiatives (*we currently plan to go ahead with the Kimpton Preschool Festive fundraiser).

We understand this is not a long-term solution, but we owe it to the Preschool, the team, the current children, future families, and the whole village to really push and give this one last shot – otherwise our precious Kimpton Preschool will be lost forever.
