URGENT: Help Maryam and family evacuate from war

Hi my name is Alli and I live in the United States and I’m running this campaign on behalf of Maryam AbuIbaid who is trapped in Gaza with her mother and sisters. Maryam is my friend and we need to raise money for her and her family. Please read their story below, donate, and share widely!

From Maryam:

I'm Maryam. I'm 20 years old. I was an English Literature junior student at IUG. As a high-achieving student, I take the position of vice president in the English Club. Also, I'm passionate about learning and developing. So, I can take a program to learn freelancing in Gaza Sky before the war (before one year). I remember a year ago, I lived without the fear, sickness, loss, and horror that now plague my heart. To live in the war means to live on the dark side of the earth for more than one year in Gaza to be more familiar with loss, unbearable pain, and horror. Our hearts are full now of feelings of loss. It was the first time to experience this feeling. I can't tell you how it's heartbreaking to lose friends. It was unbearably painful until now. There's no value for me to complete my life without family, friends, and loved ones. I made this fundraiser to save the rest of my family from death. I can't imagine my life without my family.

My mom is an old woman; she is 60 years old. She's affected by hypertension, and she needs medical attention. With one year in the war, there's more bad effects on her health because of the lack of her medicine. Before 7 Oct Mom must have surgery in her kidney, but everything stopped.

Fatima is my eldest sister. She is a teacher who believes in the power of education to change young lives. She worked at the Nawa Foundation as a teacher and storyteller for children before they bombed and destroyed her workplace. Her heart is broken when she knows that her students in her class were killed. But this never stopped her from helping the children. She went to volunteer to be a children's teacher in tents; unfortunately, after a short period of time, they bombed huge quantities of missiles next to their tent, which led to an infection of the ear nerves, which resulted in the inability to focus and the loss of her work.

Somaya is the middle sister. She is a full-of-life brilliant and dreamy girl. She graduated from her university in Business & Accounting with an honors degree. With her ambition to complete her studies. She works as a freelancer to finish her studies ASAP. After two years of studies, Masters was in the last semester of her study, but her university was destroyed completely; there's no hope to complete her studies. Also, she lost her work as a freelancer because of the lack of internet.
