Urgent Help Needed For Nic To Have Life Saving Surgery

Hi, my name is Anna, and I'm urgently trying to raise funds for my close friend and colleague, Nic Letheby. Nic is a vibrant 25-year-old who brightens everyone’s day with his humor and positivity. Not a day goes by where Nic isn’t cracking jokes or sharing his infectious smile. He fills our days with joy and is truly a ray of sunshine.

Nic is more than just a good friend; he’s also a devoted boyfriend to his beautiful girlfriend Jenna, a loving brother, son, cousin, and a talented singer-songwriter.

Unfortunately, last Wednesday, Nic was diagnosed with thyroid cancer after a rapidly growing lump appeared in his neck. This lump is a cancerous tumor and currently measures 8cm long, 7cm wide and 6cm deep. It's growing at an alarming rate of 2-3cm every fortnight and is now crushing his windpipe. He urgently needs surgery to remove this tumor before it completely obstructs his ability to breathe. Unfortunately, the public wait time for surgery is currently a minimum of 4-5 weeks, which is far too long given Nic’s condition.

We are all absolutely devastated for Nic. He lost his mother to cancer 7 years ago, and we are determined to do everything we can to ensure he has a chance at recovery and a bright future ahead.

The funds will be directly used towards Nic’s private surgery to remove the cancerous tumour in his neck. The funds may also be used towards any additional complications that may occur during surgery. Any remaining funds, if any, will be used towards Nic’s recovery and any follow up appointments. The surgery will likely cost around $10,000 if there are no complications during surgery. Nic has a small amount of funds he is also putting towards medical appointments, scans and his recovery.
