Urgent: Help Pamela get medical help

Pamela Boyd here.

As you know I retired to Oregon a few years back and have been living my dream which includes chickens, gardening and little tours for kids, arts and craft days,herb walks and lots of bunnies.

However, all is not well.

As you may also know, I was diagnosed years ago with interstitial lung disease. And things have gotten worse. I've been seriously ill this last year with the same disease - it's on the outside of the lungs (not from smoking).

After a year of treatment from the Oregon Pulmonary Clinic with no improvement, they have strongly recommended a second opinion from the Mayo Clinic for this "unknown" immunological assault on my body, one that is causing me crushing fatigue and excruciating pain.

I need your help to get to the Mayo Clinic and have hopes that you will consider anything you can to help. I have loved so many of you all of these years, from my time with the Public Defender of Orange County, my travels abroad, teaching in Santa Fe, and now eight years in Oregon.

Any funds I raise will be used to help me with expenses ranging from future tests and trials, medication, and a place to stay while at MAYO CLINIC. From that, hopefully, a diagnosis can be found and I can begin my journey to wellness. It's more than a wishlist. My dream is to live a happy life, raise more chickens, grow food, continue my freelance writing - and maybe have visitors like you someday.
