URGENT: Help Rawan and her family evacuate Gaza

Hi everyone,

My name is Rawan Fayyad and I need your help.

I’m currently writing this from a tent in Rafah, where I am seeking shelter with my family. After evacuating multiple times, and escaping multiple near death experiences, I am left with no choice but to seek help for myself and family to evacuate Gaza.

I was born in Gaza in 2002 and have witnessed all the atrocities and wars on Gaza since then, but since October the genocide is beyond anything we have experienced before. I have lost my best friend, my house, my university, my city and my memories. The images and circumstances I have witnessed have left me with no choice but to escape. What you may see on the news or social media is my life right now. No access to food, water, electricity, medical care. The tents are cold, and the bombings are loud, this is my life right now. We are constantly being attacked by land, sea and air, there is no safe place in Gaza.

Ever since I was a kid, I had a dream to become a dentist. I have worked hard all my life and focused on my education to become a dentist. I’m currently a 4th year dentistry student at The University of Palestine. During my time as a student, I was awarded with multiple honor certificates and scholarships for my academic achievements and engagement within my community. Although I have lost everything, I didn’t lose my dream to become a dentist which is why I am writing this to you today.

Unfortunately, I cannot just evacuate from Gaza. It currently costs 7,000-10,000 USD per person to evacuate to Egypt. I have also lost my home, family’s source of income and anything we ever owned, making it impossible to leave without your help. My parents, 4 sisters, 4 brothers and myself all need your help.

I am kindly asking you to help me, evacuate and pursue my dreams in continuing my education and becoming a dentist. Any help is appreciated, I have not lost hope and will continue to strive for a better life for me and my family while achieving my dreams.
