Urgent: Help Razan & her Mother Leave Gaza for Treatment
Donation protected
I am making this fundraiser on behalf my dear friend Razan, who currently lives in the north of Gaza. Razan is desperately seeking help for her mother (pictured above, before all of this).
Razan's mother had just been discharged from intensive care treatment for her cancer when the Oct 7 attacks happened. She was unable to get followup treatment, and she very quickly became ill again. She is suffering from severe breast cancer. She is languishing in the North with a high fever and inflamation. There is no more cancer treatment in Gaza. There are no more hospitals in the North. Razan and her mother now badly need money to go abroad and seek cancer treatment there.
Razan is also the mother of a gorgeous baby boy, Kenan, who was born shortly after the start of the so-called war.
As the government deliberately starves people in Gaza, Kenan, Razan, and her mother are all suffering from malnuitrition. They all have injuries from bombings that have gone untreated. They urgently need to leave Gaza.
The estimated cost of cancer treatment services across Egypt and Jordan ranges from $20,000-$80,000. These costs don't factor in things like housing and food. Patients who were allowed to leave Gaza this week are being transferred to the UAE, where the costs can reach hundreds of thousands of dollars. It's unclear whether Razan's family would receive help from charities in the UAE and, if so, how much.
Even then, there is no end to the costs Razan faces. What I have laid out are only her mother's treatment, but everyone in Gaza now needs treatment. Razan has been injured twice in bombings and her brother was severely wounded a couple of months ago (pictured).
Razan's nephew is also suffering from a severe spinal issue and needs $10k for treatment, Razan will need mouth surgery when she evacuates---not to mention she has lost everything, including her beloved pharmacy, her home, her clothes, her shoes. There are no words for what has happened to her and others in Gaza. I only hope you understand how much your donation means, and how necessary it is.
