Initially trained in FEMA Urban Search and Rescue operations, Glow has recently become a pioneering canine in an innovative Active Shooter Interceptor Program - “Project Tip of the Spear”. Alongside a canine partner, they are trained to charge into volatile active shooter situations - equipped with real-time body cams - ensuring the safety of our officers by neutralizing threats before any law enforcement officer steps into the building. Last night, in a tragic, heart-wrenching incident, Glow was struck by a callous hit-and-run driver. Demonstrating unparalleled resilience, she traversed nearly half a mile, reeling in pain. It took several Patrolman from the Florham Park Police Department, FIOS linemen, and four friends an agonizing hour to locate her.

Currently, Glow is confronting grave internal injuries and a fractured skull, awaiting urgent surgery.
