Help me birth my baby in safety

My name is Ahd Abdallah, a 31-year-old activist from Gaza, and my husband, Mohamed Nijim, 33 years old, along with our expecting baby. We are reaching out to you today with a heartfelt plea for assistance. Our lives have been profoundly impacted by the ongoing challenges in our region. We are currently facing a situation that requires urgent attention and support. ‏

Just over a year ago, I joyfully embarked on a new chapter of my life when I married my beloved husband. We were filled with hope and dreams for the future. However, on October 10th, our lives took an unexpected turn when we tragically lost our home. This was not just a physical structure but a symbol of our hard work and aspirations.

As I stand here now, six months into my pregnancy, I find myself grappling with the harsh reality of limited access to healthcare. The majority of hospitals in the area are unable to function due to the ongoing conflict, and those that remain operational are struggling to meet the overwhelming demand. Regrettably, I have not received the necessary prenatal care that every expectant mother deserves. This includes crucial medications like gestagens, which are essential for the well-being of both me and my unborn child. Additionally, the scarcity of nutritional supplements in local pharmacies has made it challenging for me to maintain a healthy diet during this critical time.

In order to secure a safer and healthier future for my growing family, my husband and I are compelled to seek medical assistance in Egypt. However, the journey is not without its financial burdens. We need to raise $25,000, which will cover the costs of safe passage into Egypt—$5,000 per person. Other funds will go towards medical assistance and preparing for the childbirth, as well as temporary accommodation and initial living expenses in Egypt for at least a couple of months until we can settle down . ‏
