He had the misfortune of being given the wrong combination of drugs and this resulted in him being bedridden and semi-conscious for over 60 hours, leading to the development of a severe bedsore and consequential widespread infection in his body.

Currently, he is fighting for his life in a private hospital in Fiji.

We were not ready for this unexpected crisis, especially considering his ongoing battle with dementia. It has been heartbreaking for us, especially my Mum, to see my Dad go through this when he was already fragile.
