Urgent Appeal: Help Us Save 14 Neglected Shetland Ponies
Donation protected
Friends, Animal Lovers, and Supporters,
We are reaching out with an urgent plea for help. Our horse rescue has just taken in 14 Shetland ponies in desperate need of care after being surrendered due to severe neglect, injury, and abandonment.
This heartbreaking situation began with a report we made to the RSPCA.
What followed was a mass surrender of 14 ponies into our care. The RSPCA acted quickly, requiring an emergency veterinary assessment on the day of rescue.
Tragically, one pony was beyond saving—she suffered from advanced eye cancer, was completely blind, and had to be humanely euthanised. Another was treated for painful rain scald and pest infestations.
As we assessed the rest of the herd, the situation became even more dire:
- Four mares are pregnant, likely due to inbreeding.
- One stallion was found chained to a fence.
- Another was severely underweight, having been forced to compete with others for food.
- All ponies were without adequate food or water.
These animals are innocent. They deserve safety, health, and a future filled with kindness. And that’s where you come in.
What We Need Right Now
We’ve launched this go fund me campaign to cover urgent expenses:
- Veterinary Care – Exams, vaccinations, treatments, and necessary surgeries.
- Nutrition – Quality feed, supplements, and round-the-clock care.
- Shelter – Safe, clean spaces where these ponies can recover and thrive.
- Transportation – Humane transport to our sanctuary and veterinary visits.
