Urgent: Keep MentorReddy Learning Center Open!

Help save our learning center:

In February 2024, MentorReddy embarked on a mission to bring a vision to life by partnering with another small nonprofit organization for a star-studded event during Suicide Awareness Month in September 2024. This event aimed to raise awareness about the mental health challenges within our communities. With over a decade of experience, CEO and Founder Kenyanda Reddy was committed to celebrating and serving youth and their families.

However, what began as a joyous occasion quickly spiraled into a nightmare. The initial collaboration turned into a solo effort when partners delayed responses, misconstrued contract agreements, and failed to provide any funding. Communication, once clear as a sunny day, became inconsistent and unprofessional, leaving the families served by MentorReddy feeling robbed of their opportunity.

As a proud parent of children who are survivors of mental health challenges, Kenyanda eagerly took on the role of business manager for this important initiative. Unfortunately, she found herself relying solely on donations to cover all expenses, investing over $3,500 of her personal funds without recouping even 10% of her final investment.

Despite these setbacks, MentorReddy refused to let the vision die. Kenyanda stepped up, sponsoring the event with a clear focus on empowering youth and families. “I was determined to honor my sons’ journeys as survivors and to build our center into a vital resource for our community,” she stated.

In pursuit of this mission, Kenyanda made the courageous decision to quit her job and run her brand new small business, The Mentor Reddy Online Academy, and nonprofit full-time, hiring multiple employees who shared her vision.

As we approach the holiday season, the situation has become dire. The MentorReddy Learning Center is at risk of closing its doors, which would have devastating effects on youth and young adults up to age 24, as well as the families we serve and our dedicated staff. “I can’t turn a blind eye to the suffering this has caused within our community,” Kenyanda expressed. Closing the center would mean that children with autism, literacy deficiencies, behavioral health challenges, and mental health disorders would go without the advocacy and intervention they desperately need. The district has already failed them, and they cannot go back. MentorReddy Online Academy serves as their last hope for a brighter future.

We are reaching out to you to "Get Reddy and Tag In." We seek individuals and organizations who believe in the power of mentorship and academic excellence for youth and family development. Your donations can make a life-changing difference for these families.

Supporting MentorReddy is not just about backing an event; it’s an enriching investment in the educational futures and well being of our youth. Together, we can ensure that vital resources remain available to those who need them most.

Please consider joining us in this mission your support WILL change lives! Thank you for your compassion and generosity.

The Mentorreddy Family ❤️

A note from Ms. Reddy:

For each and every person who willingly participated in the act of stealing from our center. Causing chaos and discord to our youth, their education and family’s. Once we raise enough money to save our center. We will be pursuing legal action against you all.
