She is having Chronic Kidney Disease CKD Stage 5 after she lost her child when she is 7 months pregnant due to pregnancy induced hypertension (PIH) during second pregnancy. Baby survived only 2 hours after emergency cesarean and mother survived but with failed kidneys. Hemoglobin level very low at 6.5 on Feb 4th 2021 - Anemia- Going through issues with dialysis.
Suggested Renal/Kidney transplantion in March 2020 as it has been a chronic disease and beyond treatable condition. On dialysis thrice a week which means changing blood in body for 4 hours as Kidneys dont purify it anymore.
It needs a tube being attached always as frequent dialysis is needed thrice a week. Food intake is also affected and due to blood change, it impacts person in many ways.
Kidney transplant surgery is not covered under AarogyaSri government health benefits. In Oct 2020, Telangana government took a decision to include Kidney & heart transplant in Aarogyasri as poor people cannot afford it, but it is not yet implemented in hospitals.
