URGENT: Maui Family In Need of Assistance
Donation protected
Hello everyone, my name is Keeana Villamar. Many families in Hawaii have died, thousands have lost homes, and are without electricity, phone signal, food, water, or shelter due to the ongoing wildfires. I have been unable to contact my family in Lahaina, Maui for some time, and they are without food, water, or a home. Any assistance is greatly appreciated, and the funds will go directly toward providing food, water, shelter, medication, and sanitary supplies for my family and loved ones to last at least several weeks hopefully.

Dear Community,
Thank you for your kind thoughts and prayers. My name is Keeana Villamar, and I am a first-generation, low-income rising junior at Scripps College. I am at a loss for words for how grateful I am that my family back home in Lahaina are alive. My mother Alma(54), father Marcelo(51), grandmother Luzviminda (79), sister Yna (27), and brother Mark (15), are without a home and with only limited food and water. The destructive fires have decimated the entirety of my hometown, leaving thousands homeless, hundreds dead and missing, and the injured with no access to proper medication and care they need. Our town is devastated.
I hold with a heavy heart to say I am unsure of what comes next for us. I am unsure of what food will be put on their table or how my hometown will cope with being separated from their loved ones. I am no longer certain if I should continue with my education.
I hope to provide my family and those in need in Lahaina with the resources, food, and shelter they urgently need. This small step is only the beginning of our journey toward rebuilding our community.
Thank you for your unwavering care and support.
Please feel free to text or call me with any questions or concerns, thank you for your care and attention.
