In the Moroccan city of Rabat, a woman named Hajar Benallal (AKA Hinata Von Der Kat) is working mostly alone to care for the city's stray cats and dogs. She has been caring for them for the past ten years, and continues to do so throughout the quarantine.

Currently, she has encountered a few emergency cases that we are trying to raise money for. The treatments are going to be expensive, and we do not have the money to afford any of it at the moment. Two of the animals are already at the vet receiving treatment, with a bill coming soon. The other two animals have not received treatment of any kind, and will not be able to until the funds are raised. Any contribution helps, and 100% will go towards the cost of the medical care. For more details on the specific animals and their cases, please keep reading.

1. This stray was found on the brink of death and struggling to breathe. It took a few days to find transport to the vet and we were very worried he would not make it. Hajar was eventually able to get him there, and he has been in ICU to treat severe pneumonia for the past few weeks. He has been fighting very hard and is finally starting to show major improvements. However, he still needs surgery to repair his broken femur. He has made it so far and still has a long way to go, but with your help he can do it!

2.  This girl is one of the cats in Hajar's foster who is also suffering from a severe case of pneumonia as a result of cat flu. She is currently in ICU alongside the stray, and has been making significant improvements as well.  When she is well, she is a stereotypical lap-cat, insisting on cuddles whenever you sit down. If you try to ignore her, she will gently paw at your chest until you give in and pay attention to her. She deserves the chance to get better and finally find a forever home.

3. This shepherd mix is a stray who is just under one year old. She is the best friend of Cezar, another shepherd mix stray in the area. She is very playful, and enjoys spending her days running up and down the beach and playing with the local cats. Currently, she is suffering from an extremely large mass in her throat. This has come on very suddenly, and the vet has suggested she start on antibiotics and steroids immediately. However, as previously mentioned, we cannot currently afford these medications. She normally comes running at the sight of Hajar, but now she no longer feels well enough to do so. The mass is also so large that she can no longer eat. We are very worried for our girl and feel that if she does not receive treatment soon, she might not make it.

4. This stray kitten has suffered a severe injury to his back side. The cause of the injury is currently unknown.  He needs surgery immediately, or he certainly will not survive much longer. Hajar has been feeding his mother for years, and continues to feed her alongside this boy and his sister. The entire family is extremely feral, but Hajar is willing to put forth the effort needed to treat such a wild cat if we can receive the funding.
