URGENT! MEDICAL EMERGENCY FOR TERRI BOWEN LINDLEY!

Donation protected
Hi, I'm Sundance (aka Virginia Levy).

I'm creating this fundraiser on behalf of a very dear friend of ours, Terri Bowen Lindley, (someone who we all know and love a great deal!), because she's just too darn stubborn and proud to admit that she's (NOT) 10-foot tall, bulletproof, and made of steel.

For those of you who may not know her, Terri is a highly-skilled, self-employed, mobile equine and exotic animal trainer and behavioral specialist, who travels across the country to assist in upgrading the relationship between animals and their human companions. With decades of experience under her belt, her undying love and passion for her work overshadows the serious risk for injury that often lurks in the shadows of every job she accepts, waiting for its chance to remind her of her humanness. (Normally, all it does is lurk. Sadly, all it takes is one time to knock a trainer out of the game!)

Unfortunately, that one moment in time came when she recently got ambushed on December 7, 2023, by a 4 yr old longhorn steer who kicked her hard enough to break bones in her leg, which sufficiently sidelined her, making it nearly impossible for her to continue to financially support herself.

As if the first injury wasn't enough to deal with, because she couldn't get out the way fast enough, she recently got kicked AGAIN in her back by a Wyoming bronc stock horse! Several vertebrae had been broken, yet, she keeps going and going and going... She may be tiny but she's mighty and, like so many of us warrior women who play on a similar field, she's fiercely determined to not ever give up, no matter how many times she gets knocked down! That's grit!

Up until last night, I had no idea how difficult things had gotten for her until we took a deep dive into our personal battles, triumphs, recoveries, and setbacks. That's when I discovered why she was out limping around on a job in the freezing cold, training baby camels only a week before her upcoming knee surgery on March 18, 2024. When I questioned her, she said, "The reserves have run out. I like to eat. And I have to pay my bills.".

Unfortunately, Terri can barely walk right now! She needs to go home, relax, and take care of herself (for once)! But, as she pointed out, she has bills to pay just like everyone else. Sort of hard to do when one's sitting on a couch recovering from major surgery for two months.

Terri needs at least $4,000 per month to stay financially afloat. If only 200 people donated just $25 each per month, she'd be able to cover her financial responsibilities and have a little left over for things like fuel to get to doctor appointments and rehab. (Anyone can easily spare $25. That's not much and won't even be missed.)

Please consider making a small (or large) donation to help Terri get through this difficult time.

All donations will go directly to Terri and will be used as she sees necessary to cover living expenses while she recovers from her surgery.

Thank you in advance for your generosity, compassion, and kindness! It is deeply appreciated by Terri and all of us who love her and want to help make her recovery as stress-free as possible!
