Urgent Medical Fund After Life-changing Accident

Hello, I’m David, I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friend, Jasmine. I'm reaching out to you today to ask for your support during this incredibly challenging time.

On September 26th, 2024, Jasmine and I were involved in a horrific scooter accident in Bali. A drunk, uninsured driver crashed into us, causing severe injuries to Jasmine's leg. While I was fortunate enough to escape with only minor scratches, Jasmine suffered devastating injuries that shattered her tibia and fibula completely in half. She was in urgent need of surgery, which has cost her savings with her total medical expenses expected to keep coming in.

To make matters worse, Jasmine had no travel insurance and no close friends or family nearby to offer support during this difficult time. She is currently still in the hospital, facing mounting daily bills as she recovers. Once she leaves the hospital, she will need an in-home caregiver before she can safely fly back to the UK, where she can receive the proper care from her family and local healthcare professionals. Due to the severity of her injury, she is required to fly business class to ensure her leg remains elevated and minimize the risk of swelling and blood clots.

* £5211 has already been paid for Jasmine's initial surgery to repair her broken tibia and fibula.

* £2-4k is needed for the remaining hospital care, medication, post-surgery recovery, rehabilitation, transport, food, and follow-up treatments, and in home care.

* £2,000 - £3,000 will cover a business class flight to the UK, ensuring Jasmine can travel comfortably and safely with her leg elevated.

*£1000 left for unknown care or appointments/assistance.

Any additional funds raised will be allocated for unforeseen medical expenses and ongoing rehabilitation needs.
