Urgent Medical Funds for Yvette Taylor

This is my mom, Yvette Taylor, and she is 68 years young. She is recently widowed from her husband of 32 years. She has 4 children (Julie, Stephane, Sonya, Shari), and 5 grandchildren (Cadence, Jérémie, Sebastian, Phillip, Samuel) and a 3-year-old Yorkie named Mia.

She has a lung disease called Sarcoidosis. She has lived with this for 45 years; as long as I have been alive. Sarcoidosis causes small lumps on the lungs called granulomas. They affect how the lungs work. Her lung capacity is now at 29%. This means that she requires an oxygen tank to breath 24/7.

She is unable to walk more than 10 feet without resting. She has trouble with everyday tasks such as preparing food, laundry, vacuuming, making her bed, grocery shopping, picking up dog toys off the floor. At 68, these tasks should be easy to do.

Her lung condition is rapidly worsening and is debilitating and has turned terminal. She now requires a double lung transplant. Without the transplant, she may not get to see her grandchildren graduate high school, never get to go for hike or swim with her daughter, ride a bike with her son, walk the mall with her granddaughter, laugh from her belly without coughing.

The transplant process requires her to relocate to Toronto, Ontario for 1-2 years. This is necessary for the treatments, and preparations leading up to the surgery. She must have a live-in caregiver with her during this time as well. She will have to store her belongings for that duration and find a temporary home for Mia too.

As you can imagine, this has been all very overwhelming. The costs associated with this are far more than what we have. We are seeking charitable donations to help cover the cost of relocating, paying for a caregiver and storing her items for the period of time she is in Toronto.

Time is not on her side, and she cannot be listed until she relocates. She has a chance at living a better quality of life with this transplant. We would be extremely grateful for any help in the form of a donation.

Please help my mom so she can live a full life with us. It's at our fingertips. We just need a little help to obtain it!
