Urgent need: AC broken, 90plus inside

I’m Dawn. I am disabled and receive SSI benefits so I have a fixed income. My air conditioning system broke 48 hours ago. We are currently under a heat advisory with heat indexes up to 112 (with 70% humidity or more). Today it was 98 but inside my home it was 95. My daughter and I and our two cats are very uncomfortable. I have arthritis and the heat is making my joint pain unbearable.

I do not have credit cards or lines of credit so something like this is scary.

The a/c company that I pay monthly to service my unit (this was my mom’s home and I carried on her plan) came out tonight to do a diagnostic and the motor has gone out. This is $1500. On top of that the install/labor will be another $7-900.

I do want to say, after my mother's sudden passing I had to create a go fund me to help me pay for the insurance on the house. I am so thankful to those that helped me. I did find the funding I needed for the remainder of the insurance so I didn’t need the full amount that I requested but I am very grateful to those who assisted me at the time.
