If you want to discuss my therapy you can call me anytime [phone redacted]

Im doing a short version for people who dont like to or just don't have time.
  • Sept 2020 had a stroke
  • Lost use of left side
  • Went through therapy but only limited use of leg
  • The 1st time I held my granddaughter was the Supposed to be the best day but it was notbecause I realized there was so much stuff I couldn't do for a baby Absolutely heartbreaking.
  • Applied and was accepted to a newer treatment..stem cell therapy program. Of course it's not covered by insurance.
  • On May 1st I go down for treat in Chicago area and go home on day3. Very quick.
  • Scroll down the donate button is at the bottom below
  • This is my original story feel free to read it or come back at any time and read it
  • I get that not everyone has money to donate but if you have a social media account you could share the post.
  • that would be a huge help I thank you all for helping with anything
  • My name is Jennifer Shute and I'm scheduled for stem cell therapy in early may and need to raise money for that.I have a limited amount of time to raise money so worried.
  • As many of you already know in September 2020 I had a stroke. I was 49 and ended up losing function of my left side.
  • I didnt realize i was having a stroke. My brain was talking me around it. After initial treatment at BDCH I was med-flighted to St. Mary's hospital in madison. Because they didn't have a neurologist in at that time they sent me to UW hospital for treatment. I was in the ICU for a week and went to Waukesha for in patient therapy. I had 3 hours of therapy a day 5 days a week for 4 weeks.
  • This all happened when Covid restrictions kicked in for hospitals. So unfortunately no family was allowed to visit. That made it hard for my family because updating them didn't seem like a priority. Thanks
  • The first 5 days i was days i was doing ok. With only an issue swallowing. They had me do a physical therapy test which i thought i aced minus some strength. So when they discussed an in patient therapy center i couldn't understand why. I was walking doing stairs and picking stuff up from the floor. My mom was very confused as well. The doctors were talking In-patient therapy and I was talking about going home and going back to work shortly after.
  • Well the very next morning I woke up with my left side non functioning.Surprise i guess. So waukesha county rehab here i come. I spent 4 weeks. With very limited visits from family and stuck in my room when i wasn't getting therapy. I still have a minor issue getting the correct word out at times
  • Relearning how to walk, I never understood how you can forget. More like your brain message makes it to your throat then gets stuck. Thankfully i was able to go from a walker to a cane but my arm didn't come back and my leg was maybe working 20%. So i left therapy wishing my arm was better. I, to this day, never lost hope. When i got home i began to realize what life meant with 1 arm and basically a peg leg. I did get into therapy for 6 months and was able to walk better but not much changed with my arm unfortunately. Insurance said i was done...but i wasn't ready to give up and started researching other options. Amazon and YouTube became my go tos. Thankfully my boss kept me on payroll so i was able to buy what i needed and my family prepped the house for my return. Which was huge. But along came my new life.
  • So a very huge thank you to my mom my sister my son my niece and everyone else that came to help.
  • I thought i was coming to the best time of my life. I loved my job and after 13 years of struggling through a startup we finally got to the place where i always hoped we'd get to. All the hard work and stress was worth it but my stroke took that away from me. So no enjoying the fruits of that. My boss didn't want me back until i was 100% which i knew would be no time soon so I had to mourn that loss and move on which was not easy and still isnt easy. I miss it.
  • My boyfriend was very accepting of my limitations but i tried to push him away not wanting him to be stuck with a cripple. We had to work through our new normal and he's been by my side all along the way.

  • My biggest loss was i was so excited about my 1st grandchild coming in spring of 2021. I was going to be the best grandma. Amelia just turned 2. I have not been even close to the grandma i dreamed of being. I have yet been able to pick her up and hug her. that will be at the top of my to do list if the stem cell therapy works that well. I cant change her diaper so i cant babysit her like i expected to do. I cant just go take her to the park by myself or go for a zoo trip because I cant carry her down the stairs or get her in or out of her carseat. Ive already missed out so much. I was so excited to finally be a grandma!!!
  • I really started planning to do the stem cell therapy in December. It was pretty easy to get started i has to apply then submit my medical history and hope i got the approval to be accepted into their program. So a few weeks ago i got the good news that i was accepted and set my procedure date for May 2nd...now a little about this therapy. I researched a few companies last summer and i moved forward with TruStem Cell Therapy™.
  • Voted Top U.S. Stem Cell Treatment Center by Global Health & Pharma
  • I know i need to ask for help in raising funds for the treatment. Money raised will cover the treatment costs. Travel expenses and any extra funds i will use to add more safety features to the house and my car.
  • Here is a link for genral company info. Please be sure to check out what they treat. Im hoping that this helps someone else too.

  • If it doesn't help i still will do my at home therapy and exercising with the help of YouTube. Im ok being a guineapig if it helps future treatments. Id do 10000 things to have the chance to get even a little better. I still feel like it would be amazing to help push research

  • Jennifer Shute
  • This picture is my granddaughter Amelia Jean Shute. Who needs a good hug from me!!! I need it too...

  • mytreatment that im asking for help with is..
  • MONDAY MAY 1ST. my mom and i drive to Greenville Illinois and check into our hotel. I meet with the doctor's that day to go through my stuff again.
  • Tuesday may 2nd. I go in to get my bone marrow harvested. They do what they need to do with it. And use ambilical stem cells as an immunity booster. Ambilical cords are donated after a mother gives birth. So please encourage peoplepdonate them after giving birth. Nurses will ask. After that i will come back in and have that mixture injected into my affected misxles and joints along my left side. My joints that are not fuctioning are my shoulder, elbow, wrist, fingers, knee ankle and toes. So i need a lot of help. If you've already read enough you can scroll down to the donate button and skip the rest of the story.
  • Iwill also get what they call a nasal blast where they will go through my nose and inject cells into 2 vessels at the front of my brain
  • Day3 Wednesday is a follow-up appointment then we head home.
  • can take weeks to 6 months for funal results. For a lucky few they see results immediately to the next day. That would be fantastic but i know better than to think I'd be that lucky. So realistically it could be months to see complete results. I am so ready. They want to do it as soon as possible after a stroke but not more than 3 years. My 3 years hits this September which is hard to believe.
  • The funds that are raised will go to pay for this treatment
  • I will have my own web page on TruStem's website and should be able to post the link in a couple days.
