URGENT: Pickups for Heroes – Help Firefighters Save Lives!

Every day in the Kherson region and other frontline areas of Ukraine, firefighters face unimaginable challenges. Roads destroyed by war, relentless mud in autumn and spring, and constant drone strikes make it nearly impossible for large fire engines to operate effectively. Firefighters risk their lives daily, often without the resources they need to face the relentless dangers of the front lines. Yet, the need to save lives and protect communities grows more urgent with each passing day.

To address this critical need, we are launching Pickups for Heroes—a mission to provide Ukrainian firefighters with specially adapted pickup trucks equipped with water tanks, pumps, and essential firefighting tools.

Why Pickups?
Mobility: Pickups can navigate destroyed roads and muddy terrain where fire engines can’t.
Safety: Their smaller size makes them faster and less visible targets for drones.
Life-Saving Response: Pickups can reach emergencies quickly, delivering water and supplies or rescuing civilians in danger.

Recently, we received a photo of a destroyed pickup that had been delivering drinking water and food to a besieged community. These people refuse to or are unable to leave their homes, clinging to what little they have left. This pickup is a reminder of the immense risks faced by those who use these vehicles to save lives.

We have been told of innocent civilians waiting at a bus stop and others working in their backyards, targeted by drones. In such circumstances, pickups could mean the difference between life and death, offering rapid response and vital support.

This isn’t just about vehicles - it’s about providing the firefighters with the tools they need to save lives. Every pickup we will send is a step toward protecting more families, increasing the ability for the brave firefighters to respond into a dangerous situation to give communities on and near the frontlines a chance of survival. But we need your help.

How Your Support Helps
Every contribution brings us closer to equipping more frontline fire services with life-saving pickups.

£50 could help purchase firefighting pumps.
£500 could go toward helping to adapt a pickup with water tanks.
£10,000 could provide a fully outfitted vehicle ready for the frontlines.

However any amount you provide will help the cause of the firefighters in Ukraine. In SERA we are proud of the fact that 100% of your donation is given to providing support to the firefighters. All of our overheads are covered by corporate sponsor.

Our Goal
We aim to raise £10,000 to purchase, adapt, and deliver pickups to the firefighters who need them most. Each vehicle will be equipped with firefighting tools and delivered directly to Ukrainian fire services on the frontlines.

Join Us in Saving Lives
Each contribution, no matter the size, fuels resilience and places vital tools into the hands of firefighters, empowering them to reach those in desperate need and protect communities caught in the crossfire of war.

Together, we can design and deliver vehicles that will serve where they are needed most. There hasn’t been a single month when a region hasn’t reached out asking for our help with pickups. That’s how critical they are.

If you can’t donate, you can still help by sharing this campaign or letting us know about any used pickups or 4x4 vehicles that might be available for donation.

Let’s show these firefighters that we stand with them in their fight to save innocent lives.

We are stronger when together
