URGENT! Trauma and Psychological Support for Gaza
Palestine Trauma Centre (UK) is a registered charity that supports traumatised children to build and sustain their resilience in response to terror, deprivation and the destruction that surrounds them. Donating today will:
- Help Palestine Trauma Centre (UK) open a new clinic in Gaza after the first was destroyed on 09/10/23 by a nearby explosion.
- Support vital work in providing specialist trauma and psychological support for the children and people of Gaza.
Like so many others, Palestine Trauma Centre (UK) has lost its home in Gaza.
PTC (UK) clinic in Nuseirat destroyed 09/10/23
On the 9th of October 2023, an explosion hit a building adjacent to the Palestine Trauma Centre (UK) clinic in Nuseirat. The explosion demolished neighbouring buildings, blowing out all of the clinic windows and causing the roof and walls to collapse. This left the building in an unsafe and unusable condition.
And yet, the PTC (UK) staff in Gaza continue to work, even in the rubble of their own homes.
The PTC (UK) centre is not the only loss staff have endured, many staff have also lost their homes and families. Despite this, PTC (UK) staff in Gaza remain resilient and are continuing to provide psychological support across the region to children struggling with trauma and loss.
This Ramadan please help support the traumatised families and children in Gaza. Donations are accepted and can qualify as Zakat, Sadaqa or a general donation.
Please visit the Palestine Trauma Centre UK website for more information on their vital aid and projects.
All donations will be sent directly through the GoFundMe platform to Palestine Trauma Centre UK, a registered charity (1133560)
