Urgent Treatment

Hi, my name is Gemma. I’m raising money for my Nan (Sherryl) who unfortunately suffers with bowel cancer. I am raising funds to help with a possible life saving procedure, the required procedure is to have radiation beads inserted to help concentrate the radiation treatment. Without this procedure they are unable to provide radiation treatment. Unfortunately, under the current public health system the waiting list is a minimum of 3 months, Nan has very limited window of time for the treatment to have its best chance of success, her best chance is to go under the private health system. Due to the recent increase in the cost of living and the fact that she has been unable to work for the past 5 and a half years, she has not been able to keep up with her private health cover. If Nan doesn’t receive this treatment, her cancer will spread and then the radiation will not be an option.

Nan has suffered for 5 going on 6 years with her cancer, she doesn’t deserve to keep on suffering. My Nan is the strongest and most brave woman to walk this earth, she has been fighting this cancer with all she has, if you know my Nan, you know her story and how much of a inspiration she is.
