Urgent: Rebuilding Hope for Fatima after Gaza War

A previous campaign managed by another friend of the family was deleted by GoFundMe without warning.

Hello, supportive friends. I am Fatima Sameer from Gaza, the mother of a child named Abood. Before the war, I had a beautiful life and a warm house. I had recently bought the house and I was not able to pay it off before the war began and it was destroyed.

I loved photographing recipes and posting them on Instagram as I dreamed of becoming a famous chef in the world.

Unfortunately, my beautiful life and dreams did not last long because of the war that came and ended everything beautiful in my life. I lost my home, work and my friends, and I was displaced to escape death more than 7 times, until I ended up homeless in a tent that does not shelter from cold or heat.

The tents are very dangerous: they have no protection from the heat, the cold, or rain, and other dangers.

Losing my previous GoFundMe campaign was a heavy blow, and my ability to gather funds to support my family was cut off.

The war is over now, with the ceasefire beginning soon, but my family and I still do not have a home to return to, and our suffering continues after we have lost everything. We continue to live in tents in the cold and wet winter weather, and my son Abood must continue to sleep in these dangerous conditions while we hope to begin the process of rebuilding our lives. I am asking with a heavy heart for the continued support to help me provide a house and home for him to live in.

Although the ceasefire is meant to begin soon the bombing still continues and every day is dangerous. However I have hope that someday soon we are able the long process of trying to pull our lives back together. It will be a struggle, but with community support, I know that my family and I will be able to continue this long process of rebuilding everything that we have lost.
