The Two Displaced Sisters and Hope.

Donation protected
This campaign is being carried out by Lina for Reem Radwan and her daughters, with hope for the success of their steps toward safety.

The two displaced sisters, Zeina and Suwar, aged 21 and 15, were denied the chance for a normal life with their family in Gaza due to the unyielding political situation in Palestine. They never had the opportunity to stay close to childhood friends, to share tender memories with their grandparents, or to simply enjoy the warmth of a stable home. Instead, like many other Palestinian refugees and displaced people, they live with the ever-present challenges of displacement and loss that disrupt any hope of stability.

Both sisters have sought education as a lifeline—hoping that it might provide a safe haven of its own. Zeina succeeded in gaining admission to Birzeit University’s School of Media in the West Bank, while Suwar continued her search in Gaza, hoping to secure a scholarship. But the situation grew even more complex and oppressive after the events of October 7th, forcing Zeina to look for another university once more. With great difficulty, she managed to travel. Suwar, meanwhile, is still working tirelessly to pursue her education at another school in the West Bank, determined to continue her journey despite the mounting challenges around her. Their mother, Reem, says: “We weave hope from inherited love and continuous effort. Our energy in searching for safety will never run out. That’s why we have turned our hobby—my daughters and I—into a small source of income. With your support, it can grow into something much greater, both in its moral and financial impact.

It is an online store that sells traditional Bedouin handicrafts with a modern artistic touch, and we intend to build it from scratch—just as my mother, Grandmother Na’ma, taught me. She, however, did not survive the bombing of Gaza and departed with the martyrs.”

Note: This campaign started on March 25, 2024, and we have received 24% of the targeted amount. These donations have made a significant difference in helping their father during displacement in Gaza. Thank you to the friends who donated via GoFundMe.
