Urgent Relief for Canouan Island Post-Beryl

 

Hello everyone,

My name is Shavorn Stephens and I am from Canouan, an Island in the Southern Grenadines that on July 1st experienced the wrath of category 4 Hurricane, Beryl. This catastrophic storm has left many families without homes and struggling to access basic necessities. The damage is severe, with 90% of property on the island being damaged or completely destroyed. We are completely devastated but have high hopes that Canouan will rise again. Being one step ahead with preparation is critical at this time. Your generous donations will have a positive impact as it will be used to rebuild homes for shelter, and restore some sense of normalcy on the Island. I am therefore seeking financial assistance so that I can personally procure and ship much needed essential supplies and building materials. These will then be distributed to affected families across the Island. All communication systems are still down on Island, but we are in desperate need of basic necessities.
